- Texting SMS over
Internet (SMSi). Service Providers of SMSi charge low rates for texting international SMS txt over Internet. iDP needs to know
which service provider one wants to use and how telephone numbers need to be adjusted. An account with your SP has to be setup once within
iDP. And a dialplan for SMSi needs to be setup before a message can be sent over the Internet.
SMSi providers can use various methods
to send authorized messages. For example Vodafone and O2 use a logon scheme. Voipbuster and other SP's use 'HTML get'. CurrentlyiDP gold and lite only support the latter.
This stand-alone dialer is perhaps best for try out and incidental usage.
iDialPlan SMSi overview
iDialPlan SMSi Gold and the Lite version have 3 main features. Money Saving and 'Ease of Call' are the
objective of those, primarily in an International setting (calls and texting SMS). The 3 features are:
Making international telephone
through an iDP internal stand alone dialer that takes care of automatic adjustment when calling international numbers
or when making inexpensive 'call through' calls. (i.e. +, 00 or prefixing a Service Provider's call through local access number).
Before dialing, iDP's DialPlan needs to be setup
once. This allows iDP to know where one is, at home, abroad, or whether one
is using an SP.
Using the Pre Standard Dialer.
iDP's dial plans
record how to automatically adjust telephone numbers when making international
calls or when using a call through Service Provider such as Voipbuster. Dial plans needs to be setup
once for that. One
for abroad and one for home.
In addition, iDP can be setup such that the Pre Standard Dialer will adjust the numbers before
